Stéphane Nedelec - Short Bio

stephane nedelec

Stéphane Nedelec is a young group leader heading the “stem cells in neurodevelopment and disease” group at the institute du Fer à Moulin (IFM, Inserm, Sorbonne université) in Paris. He was awarded an ATIP/Avenir grant to start his group in 2016. His team is using 3D differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells and high throughput analysis of differentiation conditions to investigate the mechanisms controlling neuronal subtype diversification during development and to develop precise cell engineering strategies. They have defined among the most efficient targeted differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells in specific neuronal populations including motor neuron subtypes that they use to study the basis of motor neuron diseases.
